Access to quality college education is often marred by exponentially high tuition costs and a cutthroat admissions process

Scholarships are limited and predominantly merit-based. Underserved and socioeconomically disadvantaged students rely on supplemental educational and financial resources to access top colleges.

student earning

The average cost of college* in the United States is $35,331 per student per year, including books, supplies, and daily living expenses.

The average cost of college has more than doubled in the 21st century, with an annual growth rate of 6.8%.

The average traditional private university student spends a total of $53,217 per academic year, $35,807 of it on tuition and fees.

Considering student loan interest and loss of income, the ultimate cost of a bachelor’s degree can exceed $400,000.

Traditional scholarship platforms do not allow students or their parents to apply for scholarships until they turn 13, approximately 9th grade,

delaying the planning process until it's nearly impossible to correct the financial and academic trajectory.

CFC bridges that gap by allowing students to enroll on the platform and earn their way to college right from Kindergarten, preparing them both financially and academically.

School Attendance

Our nation’s efforts to provide a quality education to all children were threatened in the aftermath of the pandemic. with startling rates of chronic absenteeism. Absenteeism detracts from learning and is a proven early warning sign of academic risk and school dropout.

Coins For College addresses chronic absenteeism as a key opportunity to make a profound positive impact on children’s lifelong learning by engaging students and rewarding them for simply showing up.

Students from our partner schools are awarded Scholarship Points each day they attend school. The more consecutive days students are present the higher the reward.

COPPA, KYC, & AML

The 15 largest free scholarship matching databases will not allow children under 13 or their parents to register on their sites because of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which bans the online collection of personal information from children under age 13. The only way around COPPA regulations is the permission and collection of personal data from parents, similar to KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering ) regulations.

Considering the regulatory environment around digital currency in America, obtaining KYC and AML information is an arduous task that Coins for College as a platform is prepared and equipped to undertake.

We never collect any contact information pertaining to a child. Only adults can create an account on Coins For College and allow students to access learning dashboard through their account.

For students to start earning on the Coins for College platform parents are required as part of the registration process to complete the KYC identification verification.

Only student profiles associated with with a KYC verified account can receive fiat sponsorships, Scholarship Points, and Tuition Coins.
